OCEANSIDE, CA — Authorities Thursday publicly identified an Oceanside man who was fatally injured this week in a traffic accident in his coastal San Diego-area hometown.
Christian Faamaligi, 31, was riding a bicycle on Mission Avenue near Ocean Point Road when a car struck him about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.
Paramedics took Faamaligi to Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla, where he was pronounced dead early Wednesday, the county agency reported.
