Arrowood Golf Course Adds Flight Deck Lounge With Golf Simulator
The Flight Deck Lounge uses a system by Toptracer Range to virtually play some of the most famous golf courses or even a game of Go Fish.
OCEANSIDE, CA — The driving range just got a lot more fun with the addition of the new Flight Deck lounge at Arrowood Golf Course in northeast Oceanside.
The Patch hit the green with Christen Kemp, Director of Events at Arrowood to check out the new addition.
"This is our new flight deck. It's powered by Toptracer Range which is a simulated golf system where you can play almost any golf course in the U.S. You actually hit the ball on the driving range and then you can watch the distance of your ball and see where it lands on the screen and get in-depth details about your shot.

You can also play many other games. There's a Go Fish game that is almost as popular with adults as it is with kids. We have target games and just a variety of different activities.
People who have never golfed can come out and have some fun on this driving range system.
You start by choosing from all these different games you can play like Virtual Golf, Driving Challenge, Closest to Pin and of course, Go Fish. Virtual golf is where you pick the different golf courses. Points game is one of my favorites."

"It's a fun little competitive thing you can do with your friends. You can have food service, bottle service, and come and hang out. It's four people per bay. You can watch any sports program as well on a big screen TV and then another TV actually mimics the golf game so that you can sit and watch your friends playing ball."
Do people need to make advanced reservations or be a member or anything like that?
"Anyone can reserve a Flight deck. There's an hourly rate depending on the time of day or time of week. People can make reservations online at Arrowood Flight Deck and it has a schedule there to see what times are available to reserve. People can book up to 14 days in advance.
You can also rent out multiple bays for bigger parties. We have a total of 10 bays. We do many events including team building, birthday parties, celebrations or whatever. So it's more than just a place to hit golf balls. It's for everyone."
Speaking of celebrations, I hear you're having a celebration coming up next month?
"Yes, we'll have a celebration on March 10th for our official Flight Deck ribbon cutting with the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. The Mayor and other city officials will be here and we're going to celebrate the opening and show everyone what it's all about."
