Authorities ID Motorcyclist Killed In Oceanside Crash
Chad Michael Gayda of Oceanside was pronounced dead at the scene.

OCEANSIDE, CA – Authorities Thursday publicly identified a 42-year-old motorcyclist killed in a lane-splitting accident on a rain-slick stretch of state Route 76 near the Emerald Isle Golf Course in Oceanside.
Chad Michael Gayda of Oceanside lost control of his Harley-Davidson while riding between slower-moving vehicles in stop-and-go traffic in the westbound lanes near Foussat Road about 5:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to Oceanside police and the county Medical Examiner's Office. The motorcycle crashed into two cars, hurling the rider onto the wet roadway.
Gayda was pronounced dead at the scene about a half-hour after the crash, authorities said.
