Body Found Floating In Oceanside Harbor

OCEANSIDE, CA — A body was found Monday in northern San Diego County, authorities said.

The Oceanside Fire Department's Marine Safety Unit responded to a report of a body floating around 9 a.m. in Oceanside Harbor.

The body of a man in his late 50s was found between a boat and the G dock, according to the department. The man was identified as the owner of a sailboat on the same dock.

The Marine Safety Unit removed the body from the water for the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office. The Oceanside Police Department was also called to the scene to investigate the death.

The man's identity was not released. No other information was immediately available.
