Remembering the Fallen this Memorial Day
Karen & Colin Archipley created Archi's Acres, in North County San Diego. Founders of Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training (VSAT) transitions Active Duty & Veterans into Agribusiness as a career.

On Memorial Day when many have pulled out the Bar-B-Que to start the summer season of fun and libations. It is particulary a difficult day for those who serve and have served in the past. For the many of our brothers and sisters who gave the ultimate sacrafice, and for those who have taken their lives due to not being able to turn the war off in their heads.
All of whom are our military family and we feel a deep sense of loss. For those who are left behind, their memory is never far, it shapes our lives and how we move forward. Their humor, scinism, their personality all melds into ours as we keep the memory alive.
As we take this time off our regular hussle and bussle it is important to say Thank You to those who have had such an impact on our lives and everyday that we enjoy the simple pleasures of freedom to include the vast opportunities that we either do or don't take advantage of, it is the Thank You to our military that is needed. What have you done today to say Thank you to a military family near you. Sometimes it's just a simple gesture of kindness, sometimes it's offering of employment.

On this memorial day, we remember those we have lost and honor those still with us. Thank you for your service and for your continued service.
Todays blog in part, is a Thank You to my husband Colin Archipley who keeps the memory of so many of the men he served with, who's lives were taken either in combat or by thier own hand due to the wounds of war. Because of them every day we are inspired to offer options in transition.
