Simple Cures for Fatigue and Headaches

Headaches and fatigue are caused because by toxins you consume and it's your body's way of bluntly telling you it doesn't like what you just ate.

Your alarm rings, you hit snooze several times, wake up already exhausted, needing that fresh brewed coffee, rushing to work, you get a headache by 2 p.m., then finally you reach home needing to relax, eat your meal in a box while you sit guilty because you have no energy to go to the gym or complete tasks around the house. Sound familiar?

Well, what if I told you could completely change your energy level throughout this daily process by doing three simple things in life while accomplishing ten times more, with a better attitude and more ease; would you switch things up?

If you are anything like me, you’re saying yes right now. During the time being a wellness coach I have learned that the body needs three things to survive this thing called life in a pleasant manner: water, oxygen, and the ability to eliminate waste. Doesn’t sound like much of a secret now does it?

Headaches and fatigue are caused because by toxins you consume and it’s your body’s way of bluntly telling you it doesn’t like what you just ate. When I use the term toxins, I am referring to the six deadly acidic addictions Americans have to caffeine, sugar, nicotine, vinegar, whites (breads), alcohol and drugs. Besides the obvious poisons, I have narrowed the main problems down and discovered the solutions so anyone can improve their mental & emotional state throughout the day.

Eating right will fix the problem before it starts.

  • This means you need to cut out the greasy food, soda, coffee, creamers, artificial sweeteners, salad dressings (vinegar) & all white breads, rice, sugar & potatoes. There are plenty of healthy alternatives that won’t weigh you down, or make you tired.
  • By consuming the above you promote growth of viruses, bacteria, yeast and fungus in your body: the great decomposers of the cells and tissues. You have to work extra hard in breaking down these types of food, in turn leaving you turning against yourself internally. This causes you to be fatigue physically on the outside so your body can work on the inside.

Get up and get moving first thing in the morning!

  • Roll out of bed and put your shoes on first thing when you wake up. Go for a simple 15-minute walk or jog around the neighborhood. That’s not asking much right? By getting up and getting moving first thing it creates oxygen flow and jump-starts your mind and blood flow. And if you can get more than 15 minutes of exercise in your day; of course do it! The more you move, the more your body is able to get momentum & keep it; thus decreasing the feeling of exhaustion at the end of a long day.
  • By getting oxygen moving through your veins you increase your energy level, your alertness, and when your blood is pumping it helps get the toxins moving around so your body can eliminate them. Plus if you sweet your body is really releasing toxins from your body. It’s like a quick detox every morning that you actually feel your body say ‘thank you’ for immediately. More blood flow means more oxygen to your brain, which leads to no more headaches!

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate with H2O

You have read this in every health article you’ve every placed your eyes on for a reason; your body needs water. Without water your body cannot get rid of waste, one of the main functions you needs to function properly. If you are well hydrated you will not get lazy and also you will avoid headaches all together. Still not convinced, well here are some facts on why you need to drink more water to feed your body, and make your day more productive:

  • Lungs = 90% Water
  • Blood = 84% Water
  • Blood Plasma = 98% Water
  • Human Body = 70% Water
  • Brain = 76% Water

Do those three things and just feel the difference. You may experience a little trouble the first week of “detoxing” when you first take away those diet cokes to quench your thirst, your morning daily Starbucks, or even that $2 pizza/boxed meal you bring for lunch that is so convenient; but your body will thank you in the long run. And in all, you will be thanking yourself by adding some life to your years by being able to do more while you’re awake. Don’t just being living; be alive! Take care of your vehicle for life that we call our body.
