The Early Bird Gets the Savings

Here's a helpful tip on how to save money at the fuel pumps.

Here's a helpful tip on how to save money at the fuel pumps: Buy your fuel in the early morning hours.

Fuel is more condensed at colder temperatures, and you will get more for your money.  Fuel stations actually attempt to install inline heaters on their pumps, but they do little to nothing in the early morning hours.  These heaters also have the reverse affect during the warmer hours of the day.  They expand the fuel, and you literally get ripped off at the pump.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  DON'T TOP YOUR TANK COMPLETELY OFF!!  Doing so, sends excess fuel to the expansion canister in most vehicles.  It floods the canister, and defeats the expansion factor creating poor fuel economy.
