
CAMP PENDLETON, CA – A brush fire broke out Thursday afternoon on Camp Pendleton.
The blaze burned in an open training area on the grounds of the military base, according to Camp Pendleton officials. Firefighters from Camp Pendleton, as well as North County Fire Protection District, Oceanside Fire Department, Cal Fire and the U.S. Forest Service supported the firefighting efforts.
The fire, which spread over about 10 acres, posed no structural threats, officials said.
