Brush Fire Burns Near I-15 In Fallbrook, Threatens Structures
Cal Fire said the fire was burning at a moderate rate of spread and threatening structures in the area.
FALLBROOK, CA — A vegetation fire sparked by a vehicle fire was burning Thursday in Fallbrook.
The Mission 2 Fire sparked near northbound Interstate 15 south of East Mission Road, according to North County Fire Protection District.
As of 2:10 p.m., the fire was holding between 5 and 7 acres, according to Cal Fire.

Cal Fire said the fire was burning at a moderate rate of spread and threatening structures in the area. Firefighters from Cal Fire and local agencies were working in unified command to battle the blaze.
Authorities issued an evacuation order for Zone SDC-0109 and an evacuation warning for Zone SDC-0059.

A temporary evacuation point was established at Pala Park at 3450 S. Old Highway 395.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
