Brush Fire On Camp Pendleton Sends Smoke Over North San Diego County
The blaze, called the Yankee Fire, burned 55 acres, according to Orange County Fire Authority.

CAMP PENDLETON, CA — Crews halted a brush fire Friday afternoon on Camp Pendleton, authorities said.
The blaze, called the Yankee Fire, burned 55 acres before firefighters stopped forward progress of the flames, according to Orange County Fire Authority.
OCFA supported the Camp Pendleton Fire Department in battling the flames.

North County Fire Protection District issued a smoke advisory for the district, which serves the communities of Fallbrook, Bonsall and Rainbow. Although smoke was visible in the area, there was no threat to the district.
