Brush Fire Prompts Evacuations In San Diego's North County
The Rainbow Fire sparked near the 1600 block of Rainbow Valley Boulevard in Fallbrook, according to North County Fire Protection District.
FALLBROOK, CA — Crews halted a brush fire that prompted evacuations and threatened structures Wednesday afternoon in northern San Diego County.
The blaze, called the Rainbow Fire, sparked near the 1600 block of Rainbow Valley Boulevard in Fallbrook, according to North County Fire Protection District. The last reported size of the blaze, which caused no reported structural damage or injuries, was a half-acre.
Forward progress of the fire was stopped by 12:55 p.m., Cal Fire said.

An evacuation order was issued for the SDC-0033 zone, while evacuation warnings were issued for zones SDU-0032 and SDC-0034, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Office.
The evacuation order and warnings were lifted by 1 p.m., the district said.
