This film is a surrealist sci-fi action-comedy directed by The Daniels, that follows Evelyn Wang (Michelle Yeoh), a stressed, exhausted Chinese-American immigrant. While undergoing an IRS audit, she discovers she must connect with parallel universe counterparts to stop a multiversal threat, ultimately exploring themes of nihilism, family, and generational trauma.

While candidly disclosing hilarious and touching stories from their home lives, the tweens spell their way through a series of (potentially made-up) words, hoping never to hear the soul-crushing, pout-inducing, life un-affirming “ding” of the bell that signals a spelling mistake. Six spellers enter; one speller leaves a champion! At least the losers get a juice box.

OTCYA is proud to announce the launch of Stage Explorers Camp, a two-week summer camp (June 15 - 26, 9:00 AM - 3:30 AM) for young artists (Ages 5 - 12) to explore the fundamentals of acting, storytelling, and stagecraft through games, activities, and guided scene work. With plenty of room for creativity and imagination, campers will learn teamwork, self-expression, and confidence while discovering the magic of live performance.
The camp culminates in a 60 minute youth showcase of Madagascar - A Musical Adventure Jr. on the historic Sunshine Brooks Theater stage, where family and friends are invited to see the campers shine in their very first production. No prior experience is necessary!
Extended care is available for an additional $50 per week. Drop-off is as early as 8 AM and pick-up is until 5 PM.

Students will learn essential skills in theatrical design, lighting, sound, and other technical areas of theater production. They’ll also have the opportunity to work behind the scenes during the performances of The Spongebob Musical Youth Edition.
The summer camps will run June 29 – July 10, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (Design), 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM (Tech)
