OCEANSIDE, CA — Camp Pendleton-based U.S. Marine Cpl. Giovanni Brunacini recounts saving the life of a man wounded in a drive-by shooting
U.S. Marine Cpl. Giovanni Brunacini, a rifleman with Echo Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, who is currently serving as a block noncommissioned officer with Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton's marksmanship training division, recounts saving the life of a man wounded in a drive-by shooting while visiting a friend, Dec. 13, 2021. Brunacini was outside a coffee shop in Lemon Grove, California when he heard gunfire nearby. He was able to use the combat lifesaving skills he learned as a Marine to keep the man alive until paramedics arrived. (U.S. Marine Corps video by Cpl. Alison Dostie)
