Camp Pendleton Noise Advisory For Oceanside July 30 - August 7

Marines at Camp Pendleton will be firing high explosive ammunition during their live-fire training this coming week.

OCEANSIDE, CA — Oceanside residents may hear booming noises as Marines participate in live-fire training July 30-Aug 7, according to a Camp Pendleton noise advisory.

Marines on Camp Pendleton will train with high explosives for 24/7 field artillery exercises. Explosions may be heard as far as 50 miles away.

Residents can expect to hear loud ammunition noises anytime between 6 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. as Marines fire high explosive ammunitions into the Whiskey/Zulu impact area, roughly seven miles from Oceanside.
