Last night we won against Carlsbad 3-0

So far so good, up at La Costa Canyon High School. After a tough and competitive tryout, the teams have been finalized and the girls are continuing to work extremely hard to be the best. We have a handful of returners that will be the key to our success. Senior middle blocker Michelle Polecheski (Wake Forest), will play a vital role both offensively and defensively. On the right side we have Junior Morgan Lewis (Oregon) and Sophomore Sophia Tulino. Both have wicked arms, running sets on the right, middle, and outside, while remaining solid with their blocking. On the outside we have Senior and team captain Jessi Lumsden, Junior Katie Lougeay, and Freshman Riley Dean. Both returning to the varsity team, Jessi and Katie are powerful forces and remain steady with their serve receive. The back row players will also be a huge part to our overall success. We have four strong defensive specialists who are hardworking, scrappy players. We are 3-0, the girls know there is a lot of work to be done. They continue to play at a high level and challenge each other to be the best they can be every time they step on to the court. It is shaping up to be another great season.
