Tonight's match against Poway was a match that Mission Vista had to really fight to finish. said Coach Miriam Gardner of the Mission Vista Ladies Volleyball squad. "This is what we have been working on." "Our team is a well skilled team but we are learning to find with the inner strength as a whole team."
" To not just have skill but the heart to give all that you have to finish a match. We were riding a roller coaster the first (3) sets but I think we finally figured it out in the 4th set when we down (7) points. We made a decision to sub a player that usually doesn't play much, Gianna Acosta, which started a spark on the team. The spark ignited and then we started to figure out it was time to give heart, give that 110%, and FIGHT FOR THE MATCH! That momentum continued into the 5th match which we went point for point and did not allow Poway to take a lead which resulted in the win! I am so proud of our Timberwolves Ladies!. said Coach Gardner.
