Cross Country for El Camino

-Highlights of the 1st cross country meet of the season at the Kit Carson Rancho Bernardo Bronco Invitational Saturday September 9th

Congrats to Sam Jones for his 1st place finish in the freshmen race out of 145 runners!! Close behind was Brian Mendoza in 2nd! Impressive. The boys freshmen team placed 3rd.

Congrats to Senior Mario Trasvina for his fast 2 mile race time of 9:58 and placing 4th out of 100 runners in the the varsity race! Also medaling in the varsity race was junior Miguel Velasquez in 22nd and sophomore Antonio Dinis 26th. Great job.

Boys JV placed 3rd and had impressive runs by sophomore Nick Zarate in 4th and sophomore Fernando Quintanar in 8th. Also medaling was junior Mica Mills 16th and sophomore Jose Tamayo in 17th. Nice!

Congrats to the Varsity girls team (Liliano Prieto, Destiny Moedano, Olivia Jarvis, Jaiden Shiring, Elise Ortiz )on their 2nd place and close finish behind LCC.

Congrats to junior Liliana Prieto, our top EC girls runner coming in 8th in a fast 2 mile race time of 11:59. Medaling in the varsity race was junior Destiny Moedano in 18th and senior captain Olivia Jarvis in 23rd. Great job.

Girls freshmen took a 2nd place!
Congrats to Marina Arellano who took 2nd place! India Moors was close behind in 4th! Alex Boyle came in 9th while Camille Sroufe was 12th! Last scorer for team placement was Hailey Cruz in 14th! Awesome job ladies! Only 3 points from Rancho Bernando.

Girls JV also took home a 2nd place. Kat Neal was 5th, Amanda Bell 7th, Lili Cervantes12th, Chloe Fowler 15th, Erika Atienza19th, Kenda Rausher 20th, Addison Rose 30th, and Mackie Brown 31st to all bring home medals!!

Good luck this Friday as you race under the lights at the Silverlakes Sports Arena for the night Woodbridge Invitational in Norco.
