Lady Vista Panthers fall to Lady Olympian Eagles 61-55 in Division II CIF Section Finals

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Friday, March 2, 2018-After wins over Canyon Crest Academy, the Helix Highlanders, and delivering the big surprise over the Lady Lancers from Carlsbad High School, the Lady Panthers of Vista at 15-16 after leading 29-23 at the half, they were outscored 38-26 in the second half and fell short of the CIF Section Division II Girls Basketball Title as they were defeated by the Lady Eagles of Olympian High School 61-55 score.
Vista was led by Daeyanna Hale with 23 points as she went 7 out of 19 on field goals along with 8 out of 12 on the foul line. Lady Panther teammate Evelyn Terraza contricuted with 16 points.

Both schools will await to see if they will be selected in the CIF State Girls High School Basketball Tournament.
