Coastline Rail Service to be Interrupted by Construction
Construction at the Santa Margarita Bridge at Camp Pendleton is shutting down Rail service along San Diego County's coastline Nov. 16-17.

Rail service along San Diego County's coastline will be shut down over the weekend of Nov. 16-17 to accommodate construction at the Santa Margarita Bridge at Camp Pendleton, the North County Transit District announced today.
The shutdown will impact the NCTD's Coaster, Amtrak, Metrolink and freight trains that Saturday and Sunday.
People who normally ride the Coaster on weekends are urged to ride the Breeze Route 101 bus and access Metropolitan Transit System connections, according to the NCTD.
The rail line is scheduled to reopen in time for the morning commute the following Monday.
Amtrak officials have not yet announced their alternative transportation plans for the shutdown.
