OCEANSIDE, CA — The Oceanside City Council meeting for January 26th includes 24 items on the agenda. The Closed Door session starts at 3:30pm, followed by regular business at 5:00pm. Public hearings commence at 6:00pm.

- Presentation of the 2022 City of Oceanside Community Service Award Recipient in Honor of Dr.

- Proclamations in Honor of Oceanside High School, El Camino High School, and Oceanside Middle Schools Scholastic Surf Teams
- Approval of a Professional Services Agreement with Citygate Associates LLC to conduct an independent operational and organizational assessment of the Police Department.

- Approval of a five-year Agreement to host O’side Turkey Trot from 2022 through 2026.
- Approval of the proposed public art project on Oceanside Harbor Beach and adoption of a resolution accepting future donations from Visit Oceanside to pay for the cost of the project.
- Adoption of a resolution approving the Final Map No. T-12-2004 for the Oceanpointe project, and acceptance on behalf of the City of Oceanside, subject to improvements, portion of Stage Coach Road for public use and the joint utility easement for sewer, waterline, and storm drain purposes as dedicated on the Final Map T-12-2004;
- District Attorney Summer Stephan will be presenting an overview of the upcoming North County Family Justice Center. This matter is being presented as information only and no action is need on the part of the City Council
- Approval of a Purchase and Sale Agreement with the Oceanside Unified School District in the amount of $3,300,000 for the purchase of a 3-acre parcel located at 333 Garrison Street for use as the El Corazon Sewer Lift Station.
PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS
- Presentation of a report from Q2 Data and Research LLC on the 2020 decennial census data to redraw the City Council District Boundaries in accordance with California Elections Code 21621, and receive public testimony on the composition of districts for City Council Offices.
- Adoption of a Resolution approving a Development Plan, Conditional Use Permit, and Request for Density Bonus (RD21-00002, RCUP21-00001, & DB21-00002) to allow the construction of an eight-story mixed-use project approximately 147,060 sq. ft. In size and consisting of a total of 115 studio apartments with 103 market-rate and 12 low-income affordable units. The overall project would dedicate the top two floors as commercial hotel space with 64 rooms and 1,920 sq. ft. of first floor space allocated for hotel lobby and leasing office all within a freestanding building to be located on a 15,589 sq. ft. parcel located North of Seagaze Dr. and West of Nevada St. – 712 Seagaze Mixed Use – Applicant: Elsey Holdings, Llc.

Members of the public who elect to attend in person are required to wear facial coverings in City facilities and maintain appropriate social distances, and may be required to wait in a holding area to maintain capacity restrictions.
