Ages 10-17. This course is designed to introduce or strengthen young actors in the area of musical theatre. A brief history of the Golden Era of the American Musical 1930-1960 as well as some later plays will be introduced. Actors will participate in solo, duet, small group numbers as well as one full cast production piece. This course will also included dance and the importance of vocal warm-ups and how to protect the voice from damage. Please wear Comfortable clothing and flexible shoes (no flip flops). Jazz shoes recommended for the dance portion - no dance experience necessary. Academy T-Shirt provided.Classes culminate in a Showcase performance on June 2nd at 5:00pm.
