
For more than three decades, the biennial Quilt National exhibition created by The Dairy Barn Arts Center, has showcased the best and most exciting contemporary art quilts being created around the world. More than 1,000 works were submitted to this juried traveling exhibition by nearly 500 artists from 46 states and 22 foreign countries. Oceanside Museum of Art will feature 30 of the selected quilts that honor the quilting tradition while embracing new forms of expression through innovative techniques and modes of expression.
The exhibition opens with a preview reception on Saturday, October 13 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The reception is complimentary for OMA members and $10 for nonmembers and includes creative appetizers by OMA’s Culinary Arts Committee and an open beer and wine bar.
