Gas Prices in San Diego County Are On the Rise
Prices increased for the ninth time in 11 days.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County rose today for the ninth time in 11 days, increasing nine-tenths of a cent to $3.867.
The average price is 2.4 cents more than one week ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
However, it is 11.6 cents less than one month ago and 29 cents lower than one year ago, thanks to a stretch of 33 decreases in 34 days that ended Aug. 27.

"Prices are rising for local drivers due to increased oil prices resulting from continued Middle East tension, but fortunately Southern California prices are not going up as quickly as they have in the Midwest and on the East Coast," Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California said.
"Connecticut and New York drivers are paying more than California motorists and Idaho and Illinois drivers are paying almost as much."
