Get Out Weekend Planner

Your Patch guide to happiness.

Are you thrilled to be cruising to the end of a short week or in three-day weekend letdown mode? Glass half empty or half full?

Either way, the goings on from June 2-8 should lighten your mood or keep your already raised spirits nicely elevated. If you don't have a ticket to the sold-out Independence Jam at the Oceanside Pier, go to a race where the primary goal is to get as muddy as all get-out or take the kids to a fest where they can enjoy the wind and the sand.

To complete our guide to what to do in Camp Pendleton and beyond, look for a prominent author who has written about the war in Afghanistan to visit La Jolla and chances to visit museums all over North County at half price for the month.
