High Tides To Suspend Metrolink Service Between Oceanside, Orange County
Metrolink will halt Orange County Line service between Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo and Oceanside through Friday.
OCEANSIDE, CA β Metrolink will temporarily suspend Orange County Line service between Oceanside and Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo from Monday through Friday as high tides are expected along the coastal tracks.
During the temporary suspension, trains will operate only between Los Angeles and Laguna Niguel/Mission Viejo. No alternate bus service will be provided.
Weekend service is not expected to be affected.

According to the agency, the temporary service reductions are intended to preserve systemwide reliability after similar high-tide conditions last month caused significant delays that extended beyond the affected area.
Metrolink crews have added rock and other material along tracks in south Orange County to help protect against erosion. Crews will continue monitoring the tracks during high tides and increase inspections before passenger trains approach the area.

Amtrak Pacific Surfliner and freight trains are expected to continue operating as long as conditions remain safe.
