Here are the top five stories today in Oceanside-Camp Pendleton:

  1. Officers chased a stolen semi-truck through three cities in North County Friday night before finally arresting the driver, police said. The pursuit wound through Carlsbad, Oceanside and Vista, involving multiple other law enforcement agencies. The trailer detached from the tractor near El Camino Real, leaving the large, wheeled container sitting in the street. (FOX 5 San Diego)
  2. What a finish on Saturday at the Athletic Brewing IRONMAN 70.3 Oceanside 2022. The entire top five in the men's race changed in the last three kilometers with a seemingly in-control Alistair Brownlee going from race leader to missing out on the podium. We had a photo-finish for second place and the performance of his career to date from race winner Jackson Laundry. In the Pro Women's race Taylor Knibb took first place. (Triathalon News)
  3. San Diego County is hopping with Easter egg hunts and festivities. View a sampling of egg hunts coming up over the next two weeks across the county. Many of the family-oriented events are back in-person this year, some are drive-thru and some are underwater. (The San Diego Union-Tribune)
  4. If you are looking for the positive side of news, we are here to help. Patch has sweet Southern California stories we hope you will enjoy. Ukrainian refugees received presents, thanks to a California teen. Sesame Place opens in San Diego; 2 teen heroes to receive high awards; boy advances on MasterChef Junior. (San Diego Patch)
  5. A Los Angeles judge ruled Friday that California's landmark law mandating that corporations diversify their boards with members from certain racial, ethnic or LGBT groups is unconstitutional. The brief ruling granted summary judgment to Judicial Watch, a conservative legal group that sought a permanent injunction against the measure that was signed into law last year. The ruling didn't explain the judge's reasoning. (Associated Press)
