After several days and multiple calls to Southwest luggage representatives, Charlie was informed that his bags were already shipped back to San Diego and he eventually got them back. Charlie said if he had gone back to Camp Pendleton without his uniform and boots, "there would have been a lot of paperwork. A lot of butt chewing. I probably would have gotten dropped from my company and had to restart because I wouldn't have had my uniforms." (CBS News 8)
