Man With Alzheimer's Found In Oceanside

Ron Dumas, 65, went missing Saturday near the Oceanside Pier.

Oceanside police officers found Ron Dumas, 60, about 5:45 p.m. Saturday. Somebody had reported seeing him just before 4 p.m. in the area of South Coast Highway and Oceanside Boulevard, about two miles from where he went missing.


OCEANSIDE, CA – The Oceanside Police Department is asking for the public's help in finding a man with Alzheimer's who went missing Saturday near the Oceanside Pier.

Ron Dumas, 65, was last seen at 2:30 p.m. at 200 The Strand N. in Oceanside, the roadway and boardwalk that runs along the beach south of the Oceanside Pier, police said.

Dumas is described as white, about 5-feet-10 with an average build, gray hair and green eyes, police said. He was last seen wearing a black Hawaiian-style shirt with cream-colored flowers and gray shorts.
