Man Rescued From Burning Home In Oceanside

The man was taken to UC San Diego Regional Burn Center​ for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation, officials said.

OCEANSIDE, CA — Firefighters rescued a man from a burning home Tuesday in Oceanside.

The blaze sparked shortly before 10:30 a.m. at a home in the 900 block of South Pacific Street, according to the Oceanside Fire Department.

Crews rescued a man from the second story of the home, fire officials said. He was taken to UC San Diego Regional Burn Center for treatment of burns and smoke inhalation.

"The status of the victim is unknown at this time, but was awake and conscious at the time of transport," officials said in a news release. "Firefighters braved the intense flames and smoke to reach the trapped individual, showcasing their unwavering commitment to saving lives."

Crews had the blaze under control in 13 minutes, officials said. The fire was contained to two rooms of the home.
