Man Wounded In Oceanside Shooting
The 20-year-old man was found in front of Oceanside High School, where he had driven after being shot, police said.
OCEANSIDE, CA — A man was wounded in a shooting in San Diego's North County, police said Tuesday.
Officers responded at 6:55 p.m. Monday to a report of a gunshot victim in the area of Neptune Way and Cleveland Street in Oceanside, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
The 20-year-old man was found in front of Oceanside High School, where he had driven after being shot, police said. He was taken to a hospital, where he was treated for a non-life-threatening wound to his shoulder.

"During the initial investigation, the victim provided information regarding where the shooting occurred, stating it may have happened near the beach," police said in a news release.
Officers recovered one spent 9mm shell casing that was consistent with the caliber and brand of ammunition located inside the victim's vehicle, according to police. A Glock 17 handgun and several types of ammunition were also found inside the victim's vehicle.

"Once stabilized, the victim provided an updated statement," police said. "At this time, the case is still under investigation."
