Marine Killed In Crash In Oceanside
The 20-year-old man was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Sgt. Clint Bussey said.
OCEANSIDE, CA — An active duty Marine was killed when his motorcycle collided with a car near a gas station in Oceanside, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 7:51 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of Douglas Drive and North River Road, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
"This collision occurred when a white Volkswagen Passat made a left turn from northbound Douglas Drive into the AMPM Gas station," Sgt. Clint Bussey said. "A motorcyclist on a black Indian Scout was traveling southbound on Douglas Drive and struck the right front fender of the Volkswagen."

The 20-year-old man was ejected from his motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics, Bussey said. His identity was withheld pending family notification.
The driver of the vehicle, a 64-year-old Carlsbad woman, remained at the scene and was
cooperative with officers, Bussey said. She was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
