  3. A convicted sex offender from Oceanside was arrested on Wednesday in Arizona on several charges. The Sierra Vista Police Department said Robert Bryant is facing several counts of failure to register as a sex offender, providing false information to law enforcement officers and drug possession. The SVPD said the 57-year-old Bryant was first arrested on May 9 on drug charges. He was booked into the Cochise County Jail and released on his own recognizance. (KOLD)
  4. Edgar Cruz, a 74-year-old Alzheimer's patient went missing Thursday morning after walking away from his Oceanside home. Cruz left his residence carrying a paper bag full of clothing, according to the Oceanside Police Department. Cruz, who has gone missing at least once before, is a 5-foot-7-inch, roughly 150-pound Latino with gray-and-black hair. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black pants, a bluish-black sweatshirt and a red hat, police said. (CBS News 8)
  5. San Diego County on Tuesday approved a new grant program that makes $10 million available to cities for new emergency housing projects. The Capital Emergency Housing Solutions Grant Program is part of the county's framework for ending homelessness which was approved by the board last year. Funds from the program will be available to projects in the region's 18 incorporated cities.(Press Release Desk)
