Motorcyclist Killed In Crash With Car In North County

VISTA, CA — A motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle Thursday in San Diego's North County, authorities said.

A Subaru hatchback and a Suzuki motorcycle collided around 1 p.m. in the 2000 block of Hacienda Drive in Vista, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

The motorcyclist was taken to Tri-City Medical Center where he died from his injuries, Sgt. Eric Cottrell said. The driver of the Subaru was not hurt in the crash.

"Preliminary investigation suggests alcohol or drugs did not play a role in the collision," Cottrell said.

The crash remained under investigation.
