New Beer Tasting Room May Soon Come to Oceanside

Oceanside will soon be home to a new beer tasting room.

Earlier this month, the city council unanimously approved a permit for a Surfside Tap Room at 507 N. Coast Highway. The location will feature beer sampling and tastings wand retail sales of related merchandise, according to the meeting’s minutes report.

The room will be run by Oceanside Ale Works and will take over a 5,000 square-foot lot formerly occupied by a flower shop and a second 5,000 square-foot lot in the same building, according to another staff report.

Store operators will only sell Ale Works related items, according to the report. The new location will also sell kegs, bottles and the reusable growlers, according to a staff report.

Oceanside Ale Works has a website for its new tap room announcing its impending opening.
