Oceanside Apartment Fire Displaces One
Firefighters kept the blaze from spreading to adjacent apartments.

OCEANSIDE, CA – A fire at an Oceanside apartment left a resident displaced Sunday, fire officials said.
Firefighters sent to the third-floor unit on Sherbourne Drive shortly after 4 p.m. Sunday had the blaze under control in about 15 minutes, Oceanside Deputy Fire Chief Joe Ward said. Firefighters kept the fire from spreading to adjacent apartments.
The resident, who was not home when the fire broke out, intended to stay with friends, Ward said.

Ward said that the fire is still under investigation. The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
