- North County Transit District is looking to bring the management of Breeze bus drivers back in-house after outsourcing it as part of cost-cutting measures in 2009. NCTD has been dealing with high turnover and a shortage of bus drivers since the pandemic, despite reducing routes. (Mass Transit Magazine)
- Oceanside CHP arrested a woman suspected of DUI after her passenger was killed early Sunday morning during a rollover crash on I-15. The woman was taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries but was later arrested for felony driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter. (FOX 5 San Diego)
- Oceanside DMV reopened on Monday after being closed for renovations since October. Though you can now go into the office, the DMV suggests going online first, unless you absolutely need to make an office visit. "Area residents are encouraged to take this opportunity to apply for a REAL ID, which requires an office visit to complete the application." (Department of Motor Vehicles)
