Oceanside Earth Day Celebration At Buccaneer Park Happening Saturday
The City of Oceanside's "Earth Day of Service and Celebration" event with arts, crafts, cleanups, music and other family-friendly activities

OCEANSIDE, CA - The City of Oceanside is hosting an “Earth Day of Service and Celebration” event on Saturday, April 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Buccaneer Park to promote sustainability in the region, preserve the environment and educate the community about every day simple steps to protect our shared planet.
The event will feature arts, crafts, cleanups, music and other family-friendly activities for the community to take part in. Each activity promotes environmental sustainability and taking action to preserve and protect our communities and the earth. The cleanup event at Buccaneer Park will involve removing litter and debris as a part of I Love a Clean San Diego’s Creek to Bay Cleanup—the largest environmental cleanup in San Diego County—now in its 20th year. Four additional cleanup sites are available at Loma Alta and Buena Vista creeks.
Join Mayor Esther Sanchez and Environmental Officer Colleen Foster for the City of Oceanside’s “Earth Day of Service and Celebration” to educate the community about the importance of protecting the environment through fun activities, while also encouraging action through cleanup events.
