- Looking for a Christmas tree near Oceanside? Prices may be higher than in prior years but there's no shortage of fresh trees at local retailers and specialty lots throughout the county. Patch put together a list of where to buy or cut your own Christmas tree this year. Just expect to pay up to 20% more in some places. - You only have one more day to file for a tax refund claim in San Diego County. Nearly 1,400 local residents owed more than $1 million in refunds that they just need to claim. With an average refund of around $755, it might be worth a visit to sdttc.com to see if your name is on the list. "According to a statement from the office, each year the treasurer-tax collector and other county departments have thousands of dollars that are owed to taxpayers." (San Diego Patch)
- Gas prices in Oceanside continue to fall below the county average and are at the lowest average price since March. "The average price has decreased 51 times in 55 days since rising to a record $6.435 on Oct. 5, falling $1.397, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 20.6 cents less than one week ago and 58 cents lower than one month ago, but 36.8 cents more than one year ago." In Oceanside, gas prices can be found for as low as $4.25 per gallon, according to Gas Buddy. (Patch)
- YouTube influencer Magnus Mitdbo paid a visit to Camp Pendleton to compete in shallow water grappling against Marines from the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program.
