Oceanside Gets a New Eatery

El Pollo Loco recently announced it has opened its second location in Oceanside.

The restaurant is located at 3500 College Blvd. It is the 23rd  El Pollo Loco owned and operated by Oceanside-based Peg/Lion, LLC, the second largest franchisee in the El Pollo Loco system.

The eatery employs about 35 people from the local community, El Pollo Loco restaurant officials said. It is open seven days a week with dine-in service from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and drive-thru service is extended until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, officials said.

It is listed at roughly 2,650 square feet in size.

“It’s an honor to open our newest restaurant in Oceanside and we look forward to providing our guests with an exceptional dining experience each and every time they walk through our doors,” said Angel Lara, vice president of operations, Peg Lion, LLC. through a written news release. “We are eager to continue serving the residents of Oceanside through philanthropic efforts that contribute to our community in meaningful ways.”

Through El Pollo Loco Charities and Peg Lion, the restaurant aims to give back to the in different ways including volunteering in local neighborhoods, hosting fire-grilled fundraisers in which a portion of the restaurant proceeds benefit a local organization, or sponsoring organizations in need, according to restaurant officials.
