Oceanside Longboard Surfing Contest and Beach Festival Aug. 12-14

The ​37th Annual Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club Contest and 3-Day Beach Festival is this weekend at the Oceanside Pier and Amphitheater.

OCEANSIDE, CA - The 37th Annual Oceanside Longboard Surfing Club Contest and Beach Festival returns to the Oceanside Pier and Amphitheater on August 12th, 13th and 14th.

The three-day event promises to provide the public with a wide variety of activities, live music and entertainment for all ages. Professional and amateur surfers from Hawaii, as far north as Santa Cruz to our southern border. Surfers will compete for bragging rights in the Coalition of Surfing Clubs.

This year's event will include a Pro/Am Invitational titled The King and Queen of the Pier. The event starts on Friday, August 12th. 32 men and 32 women will compete for $5000 in prize money for each division! This year's winner will receive not only a prize purse but the coveted title of King and Queen of the Pier.

The Finals will run Saturday at approximately 11 am. The awards ceremony will be at 5:15pm in the bandshell.
