Lockdowns Lifted At 2 Oceanside Schools
BREAKING: Palmquist Elementary School and Lincoln Middle School were placed on lockdown Thursday due to police activity in the area.

OCEANSIDE, CA – Two schools were placed on lockdown after a suspicious and possibly armed man was spotted in an Oceanside neighborhood Thursday, authorities said.
A sheriff's helicopter crew helped Oceanside police search for the man just east of Interstate 5 and north of state Route 78, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
As a precaution, Palmquist Elementary School and Lincoln Middle School were briefly placed on modified lockdown. Classrooms and buildings were locked but instruction continued, according to Oceanside Unified School District.

The lockdowns were lifted around noon after officers found the man they were looking for in the area, police said. All students and staff are safe, district officials said.
