- Sales of previously owned single-family homes in San Diego County pulled back in a "big way" in July, dropping 22% amid rising mortgage interest rates, the Greater San Diego Association of Realtors reported Thursday. The median price of a single-family home in the county was $969,000, down 1.1% from $980,000 in June, but still well above the $875,000 recorded in July 2021. (Times of San Diego)
- The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County dropped Friday for the 58th consecutive day since rising to a record, decreasing seven-tenths of a cent to $5.366, its lowest amount since March 6. The average price has decreased $1.007 since rising to a record $6.373 on June 15, including 1.5 cents Thursday, according to figures from the AAA and the Oil Price Information Service. It is 12.1 cents less than one week ago and 67.4 cents lower than one month ago, but $1.016 more than one year ago. In Oceanside, the price of gas has fallen even further with prices as low as $4.85 a gallon according to GasBuddy. (Patch)
