OCEANSIDE, CA — Police Saturday searched for a suspect in connection with an assault that sent a person to the hospital with serious injuries, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

An OPD official said that at 2 a.m. Saturday, the Oceanside Fire Department responded to a location at Serena Avenue and Sky Haven Lane, and found the assault victim.

The male suspect is believed to know the victim, who was taken to a hospital in Encinitas, the OPD official said.
