Prescribed Burn Scheduled Saturday on Camp Pendleton

The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is scheduled to conduct a seasonal hazard reduction burn, which began Friday and will continue through Saturday in the Case Springs area of the base.

Case Springs is located near the northeast boundary of the base. Communities surrounding the base may notice smoke clouds during the burn.

The purpose of the hazard reduction burn is to strengthen the recently renovated fire break that runs along this portion of the base, according to Camp Pendleton officials.
