OCEANSIDE, CA – Today, U.S. Representative Mike Levin (D-CA) and local leaders will hold a press conference at the Moreno Street Park and Ride in Oceanside to discuss federal funding available under the bipartisan infrastructure law that could go toward improvements to the I-5/SR-78 Interchange.

Upgrading the interchange to improve public safety, air quality, and traffic efficiency is a top priority for Rep. Levin and local officials, who will highlight the importance of this project and their shared goal of securing funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law for the much-needed improvements. Rep. Levin will be joined by SANDAG Chair and Encinitas Mayor Catherine Blakespear, San Diego County Supervisor Jim Desmond, and others.

A fact sheet on how the bipartisan infrastructure law will benefit California is available here. Last week, Rep. Levin announced the bipartisan infrastructure law is delivering $30.5 million for the Encinitas-Solana Beach Coastal Storm Damage Reduction Project and $1.8 million for the Oceanside Special Shoreline Study.
