Road Rage Crash Caught On Video In San Diego County
The confrontation happened on State Route 78 in Oceanside.
OCEANSIDE, CA – Two drivers may face charges after video surfaced of an apparent road rage confrontation that ended in a rollover crash in San Diego's North County. WARNING: Video contains graphic language.
The incident took place shortly before 4:30 p.m. Thursday on State Route 78 near College Boulevard in Oceanside, according to the California Highway Patrol. It was not immediately clear what sparked the dispute, but a video posted on Facebook shows a man getting out of his BMW convertible to confront the driver of a Ford Escape on the freeway.
After the window is rolled down, the driver of the car spits at the driver of the SUV, according to the female witness in the video. The video then shows the SUV sideswipe the left side of the car, causing the Ford Escape to rollover onto its side.

According to the CHP, misdemeanor charges against the driver of the car, Kevin McCall, 33, of Vista, will be forwarded to the District Attorney.
The driver of the SUV, Andrew Carson Branch, 23, of Escondido, was arrested on suspicion of felony assault. He was booked into Vista Detention Facility.

By Friday afternoon, the 40-second, profanity-laced video, which can be viewed below, had been watched nearly 5.7 million times and shared more than 128,000 times.
