!S.O.S.Oceanside! Meet, Council Members Keim And Jensen To Speak
Save Oceanside Sand advocacy group meeting at Buccaneer Park, Saturday at 8:30 AM. City council members Ryan Keim and Kori Jensen to speak.
OCEANSIDE, CA — !S.O.S.Oceanside!, a local advocacy group for healthy, sustainable beaches in Oceanside, is holding its first public meeting in more than a year.
The "Save Oceanside Sand" meeting will be held at Buccaneer Park this Saturday at 8:30 AM. City Council members Ryan Keim and Kori Jensen are among the expected speakers to share their commitment and vision for our beaches, according to Dirk Ackema, Director of S.O.S. Oceanside.
"Your SOS board members have been busy working to support the Oceanside Sand Study during the Covid shut down. We’re ready to share progress, answer questions, take comments, and prepare for results of the study." said Dirk. "With the city getting closer to making a decision we are doing community outreach and organizing volunteers that want to help restore Oceanside beaches."

People are encouraged to bring a beach chair, grab a coffee, and a bite at the snack bar, and join us at 8:30 AM to Save Oceanside Sand.
Sand erosion is an increasingly serious problem in Oceanside that has many quality of life and economic effects on the area. The City of Oceanside has prepared a Feasibility Study for Beach Sand Replenishment/Retention Devices
