San Diego County Sheriff's Department: Homicide Investigation - Update #1 - Lemon Grove

The Medical Examiner's Office conducted the autopsy today of Noah Shepherd. The preliminary cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is homicide.

On July 12, 2021, at about 6:00 p.m., Sheriff's deputies responded to the 2500 block of Camino de las Palmas in the city of Lemon Grove a report of a shooting. When deputies arrived, they found twenty-nine-year-old Noah David Shepherd shot in the backyard of his home. Deputies attempted lifesaving efforts until relieved by fire personnel. Noah was transported to a local area hospital for treatment. Unfortunately, Noah was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving at the hospital.
The Sheriff's Homicide Unit responded and assumed responsibility of the investigation.
Based on the investigation, detectives arrested Noah's wife, twenty-six-year-old Gabriela Rose Shepherd, for 187(a) PC – Murder and booked her into Las Colinas Detention and Reentry Facility.
The victim's family has been notified of his death.
