See Smoke? Firefighters Conduct Controlled Burn On Camp Pendleton
Smoke may be visible from surrounding communities.
CAMP PENDLETON, CA — The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is slated to conduct a routine controlled burn Wednesday afternoon on the military base.
The burn operations will take place on training grounds near the center of the base, according to Camp Pendleton officials. Smoke may be visible over parts of northern San Diego County and southwest Riverside County.
"Smoke may be visible with no threat to anything or anyone," officials said on Twitter.

Notice: Camp Pendleton Fire Department is conducting burn operations for the next 3-4 hours today in an impact area near the center of the base. Smoke may be visible with no threat to anything or anyone. No additional updates will be given unless operations change.
