Here are the top stories today in Oceanside-Camp Pendleton:

1. How much rain has fallen in Oceanside? This week's rainstorm will be the 12th atmospheric river-fueled storm to hit our area since January. The rain we had yesterday was not part of the coming storm, which is expected to bring up to three more days of steady rain and chilly wind gusts. With the ground already saturated, the risk grows for flooding, mudslides and more sinkholes. A surf advisory is also in effect for San Diego County through Thursday. The snow levels may drop as low as 3,000 feet in our local mountains to the east. (Patch)
2. Caltrans once again extended the closure of westbound SR-78 between El Camino Real and College Boulevard to finish emergency repairs on a failed culvert that created a sinkhole. Since the work began last Wednesday, crews discovered two more culverts and the rain has only complicated and further delayed the repairs. The westbound lanes are now scheduled to remain closed for the remainder of the week. The bad news for commuters is that after the westbound lanes are completed, the eastbound SR-78 closure will begin. (Times of San Diego)
3. The Flying Pig Pub and Kitchen is about to go hog wild and bring two new concepts next door to its Mission Avenue location. The Swine Wine Bottle Shop and East Wing Lounge are set to open in April with adjoining doors between the custom wine shop and the fine dining establishment. "The East Wing Lounge accents its 100-year-old building with a beautiful open ceiling with exposed redwood beams and mid-century modern design influences. The intention was to keep things intimate, with 38 seats, and a chef's table to reintroduce wine dinners and special events." (What Now San Diego)
